Rimas Kurtinaitis is gearing up for a return to Khimki. Donatas Urbonas reported on Monday that the 58-year-old Lithuanian coach is near an agreement with the Russian club, he coached from 2011 to 2016.
On March of 2016 he parted ways with Khimki and went on coaching Cantu and Rytas Vilnius. On his part, Giorgos Bartzokas is Khimki’s head coach since June 2017, when he signed a two-year-contract. According to Eurohoops sources the negotiations between the two sides have already started for the termination of the contract.
The Russian club is two wins away from EuroLeague’s playoffs zone after grabbing seven victories in its first nineteen 2018-19 Regular Season matches. It also has eleven wins in its first thirteen VTB United League games this year.
