Nando De Colo nailed seven shots from deep – his career best – and led CSKA Moscow to an 84-76 road win over Barcelona Lassa in Round 20 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
De Colo banked 25 points (7-10 triples) along with five rebounds and three assists. He also tied Milos Teodosic and Trajan Langdon for a CSKA record of made three-pointers in a single game. Nikita Kurbanov followed with 17 points while Sergio Rodriguez added ten points and seven assists.
For Barcelona, Victor Claver scored 17 in addition to Kevin Seraphin’s 14 points. Kevin Pangos scored only five points but dished a game-high nine assists.
The first half was quite balanced as it was a tie at 20 after the first quarter but CSKA’s slightly better paint control and De Colo’s 14 points (4-5 triples) put the Russian squad ahead 44-41 at halftime.
Barca opened the second half with three shots from deep taking over the lead (59-50) but De Colo’s hands were still red hot helping CSKA recover quickly. With the score 68-67, De Colo dropped his seventh triple and ignited the guests’ 10-1 run which decided the winner.
