Alexey Shved will remain sidelined for a few more weeks. Khimki Moscow Region announced that the 30-year-old Russian guard isn’t yet ready for his long-awaited comeback underlining that he won’t play in the VTB United League All-Star Game.
Further tests showed his finger hasn’t fully healed. The Russian team is looking to avoid the risk of aggravating the injury preferring to extend his rehabilitation period by a few weeks, which means he will also miss Khimki’s upcoming games.
Shved has only played in eight 2018-19 EuroLeague games. He averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 assists and 3 rebounds. He’s racked up 22.3 points, 7 assists and 3,2 rebounds per VTB match before he was forced in his team’s injury list.
