CSKA Moscow’s head coach Dimitris Itoudis talked about his job, his relationship with his players and head coaches in general through EuroLeague’s latest “Beyond the bench” installment. The 48-year-old Greek coach pointed out: “I can talk a lot about this job, but at the end of the day you need to have that passion, that fire. You need to be ready to have the answers”.
On the challenges of managing so many different characters: “I feel very close with my players. I believe that they feel the same with me because I do care for them in general”.
“The pressure is always here. It goes with the job” he added and went on clarifying: “Being a coach is a lonely job”. “If you’re not ready, you better stay at home” he concluded.
