Real Madrid prevailed over Khimki Moscow on the road with a 100-75 victory in Round 26 of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and can rest assured for the playoffs advantage with a 20-6 record.

“We knew it was going to be hard, but I think my team was very concentrated from the beginning. The work was done minute by minutes. It was very workful the way we were able to control and keep going up and finally, we got a good difference and a great victory that secured the playoff home advantage,” commented Pablo Laso in his post-game quotes.

Aside from the big triumph, it will be a game to be remembered for Felipe Reyes, who tied Juan Carlos Navarro’s record for most caps in the competition.

Fabien Causeur paced the visitors with a big performance of 22 points, four rebounds, and two assists, while Trey Thompkins left a positive mark upon his return, adding 11 points and five rebounds for Laso’s team.

Real’s offensive outbreak in the first half set the mood for the rest of the game, as Khimki struggled to bounce back in the second and now has very few chances to compete for the playoffs with a discouraging 9-17 record.

However, Alexey Shved finished yet another game with more than 20 points this season and at least one three-pointer made – he scored 21 against the reigning champions, along with two assists.
