Gran Canaria announced that the contract of Josh Magette has expired and the club has parted ways with the player.
Magette signed a short-term deal with ran Canaria in December to cover for the absences of guards Nikola Radicevic and Clevin Hannah. The former Atlanta Hawks guard averaged 2.2 points and 4.5 assists over 17:51 per game in six EuroLeague matches. In the Spanish ACB League, Magette had 5.0 points and 3.0 assists in 15 minutes per game.
Magette, 29, is now a free agent. The 29-year-old player had begun the season with Croatian side Cedevita Zagreb, before being released in November.
