CSKA Moscow beat visiting Baskonia with an 82-78 victory at home in the last round of the regular season in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Despite the defeat, and combined with Anadolu Efes‘s victory over Olimpia Milano a little earlier, the Vitoria side can rest assured with a place in the playoffs, no matter what happens with Friday’s results (they will only determine each team’s spot). Velimir Perasovic‘s squad finishes the first leg of the season on a 15-15 record.
In regards to the game, CSKA made its comeback in the fourth period after following their visitors for three quarters and was paced by the efforts of Will Clyburn (16 points) and Cory Higgins (14 points).
On the other end of the court, Marcelinho Huertas posted a game-high performance of 17 points, while Shavon Shields and Vincent Poirier scored 12 points apiece.
