Fenerbahce Beko lost Game 2 against Zalgiris Kaunas and the series are now tied at 1-1. Coach Zeljko Obradovic noted that his squad didn’t play on the necessary level, especially in defense, and took part of the responsibility for it:
“First of all, I wanna congratulate Zalgiris for their victory tonight. They played very good basketball. Something I already talked about after the first game, it was normal they will have a reaction. They deserved to win the game. We didn’t play a game at the EuroLeague playoff level. Our defense was very different from 2 nights ago. When it is like that, it’s always the coach’s responsibility. It’s 1-1, the series will continue in Kaunas. We need to prepare ourselves, understand better what we have to do in order to play better there. I thank the fans for the atmosphere they created.”
