The 2018-19 EuroLeague season is down to the Final Four and CSKA Moscow is there for the 16th time in the past 17 seasons. Sergio Rodriguez helped out with 9.9 points and 4.7 assists so far in Europe’s premier competition. Interviewed by EuroLeague.net, the 32-year-old Spaniard point guard summed up CSKA’s season underlining that the EuroLeague championship is all that matters.
“I believe that compared to last season, we arrive to the Final Four in a better moment, especially because of the injuries we had last season, which made things more complicated. We arrive in a good situation; we had a bad moment around mid-December in which we didn’t feel good, but the team worked well all season long in practices, games and in a lot of video sessions, trying to see how we can improve and what to do to be a better team. That made us stronger and I believe we arrive in good condition, but as I said, it all comes down to one weekend and we play against Real Madrid in the semifinals. We have to be very, very focused to do things right” he mentioned.
