VITORIA-GASTEIZ– Shane Larkin’s record-breaking performance in the semifinal win of Anadolu Efes over Fenerbahce Beko has raised the alarm in the ranks of CSKA Moscow.
CSKA will be facing Efes in the championship game and center Othello Hunter thinks that he and his teammates should seriously “handcuff” Larkin.
“Someone’s got to contain that guy,” CSKA Moscow center Othello Hunter told Eurohoops. “He’s been playing great basketball. We all got to do that as a team.It’s not just a one man thing. Meaning that one man can’t stop him. It’s going to be all of us We need to do what we need to stop all of these guys. ”
Teamwork is the word, not only for stopping Larkin but overall shutting down the offense of Efes, according to Hunter.
“All of our defense is key. Everything, not just our switches. It’s going to be all of us who will have to lock em down.”
Hunter will be playing in the second EuroLeague Final of his career. In 2015 with Olympiacos he lost in the championship game against Real Madrid. And now, he wants to reach the much coveted silverware.
“It will mean a lot. When you go where you want to go you want to win. That’s what you do all these. To be here once again and have the opportunity to win it means a lot.”
