Anadolu Efes has offered CSKA Moscow guard Cory Higgins a three-year contract that will earn the player nearly $2 million per season, according to Eurohoops sources.
Higgins, who was crowned EuroLeague champion for the second time in his career last Sunday (19/5), becomes a free agent this summer. The player’s side will be talking with CSKA first before exploring any other option regarding the American guard’s future.
While the offer of Efes is impressive, CSKA wants to sign Higgins to a new contract. The Russian club has the resources to offer Higgins a lucrative deal and thus keep him in Moscow.
Higgins, 29, was the top scorer of CSKA this season in EuroLeague with 14.9 points per game.
SDNA first reported Efes’ offer to Higgins.
