The season is not over yet, but Zalgiris Kaunas is about to say goodbye not only to Brandon Davies but also to Nate Wolters.
As Israeli portal “One” reported yesterday, Wolters and Maccabi Tel Aviv have already agreed on the possible transfers. However, nothing can be finalized until Zalgiris Kaunas gets a buyout since Wolters is not a free agent and Zalgiris can exercise the extension clause on his contract.
Still, it seems more than possible for Zalgiris to let the player sign with Maccabi if the Lithuanian club gets the desired amount for a buyout. According to Eurohoops sources, the two clubs are negotiating the amount.
Wolters who is part of Eurohoops Top 10 FA point guards in the EuroLeague, averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.8 rebounds this season with Zalgiris.
