Marcelinho Huertas won’t extend his second tenure with KIROLBET Baskonia beyond the two-year contract he signed a couple of summers ago, the Spanish side announced on Tuesday. The 36-year-old guard will seek his next team as a free agent.
Following two NBA seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Huertas made his way back to Baskonia in 2017. He since played in 142 games including 63 in EuroLeague and brought his grand total of matches played with the Basques to 260.
In 34 EuroLeague contests during the 2018-19 campaign, the Brazilian international averaged 7.8 points, 4.7 assists and 1.5 rebounds. He also had 7.8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game in the ACB Regular Season.
