Maccabi Tel Aviv will sign American center Tarik Black to a $1.4M extension according to Roi Cohen of Sport 5. The deal includes an NBA opt-out clause that Black can exercise until July 15th.
Black, 27, joined Maccabi during the 2018 free agency. In his maiden EuroLeague campaign, the former L.A. Lakers and Houston Rockets big guy averaged 11.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 21:30 minutes over 26 games.
He was regarded as one of the top centers in the EuroLeague during 2018-2019.
In the Israeli League, Black posted 9.0 points and 6.1 rebounds over 18.7 minutes to help Maccabi win the back-to-back championship title.
