Rick Pitino has changed Panathinaikos‘ season for the better and after finishing it with the Greek League title, the time has come for him to decide whether to continue with the team.
Pitino told CBS Sports that Panathinaikos has offered him a president/coach title to return next season. The coach noted that he isn’t interested in the president role but either way, he plans to make his decision by Friday (21/6).
After the Greek League Finals, the 66-year-old American coach explained that he will spend a few days in New York where he will talk with his family and depending on their opinions make the final decision. Pitino himself enjoyed the stay in Greece and is willing to come back, although that would also mean he gives up college basketball.
