Janis Timma will part ways with Olympiacos and sign a two-year deal with Khimki Moscow according to Eurohoops sources. The Latvian forward was under contract with Olympiacos for 2019-2020 but the club and the player have reached an agreement to terminate their deal.
In March, Timma was loaned to Khimki by Olympiacos for the remainder of 2018-2019. In 13 VTB League games, Timma averaged 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, helping his team reach the competition’s Finals vs. CSKA Moscow and thus clinch a spot to the 2019-2020 EuroLeague.
Timma became widely known in the European basketball scene during his stint with another Russian powerhouse: Zenit St. Petersburg, with which he played from 2015 to 2017. After Zenit, Timma joined Baskonia for one season before signing with Olympiacos.
