Real Madrid finished the season on a high note by seizing the ACB title, and now the team looks forward to the next one.
According to information provided by AS.com, Gustavo Ayon (whose contract ends on June 30) has informed the team that he will look out for his NBA chances, so that brings his replacement options to the table. Per the Spanish media, Jordan Mickey is the main target to replace the 34-year-old Mexican. In his first season in the EuroLeague, Mickey, 24, averaged 14.2 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks.
Provided that the Spanish champions make a move on Mickey, it is to be noted that in theory, they don’t have an extra spot for an American in their ACB roster at this point.
