Real Madrid star guard and reigning Spanish ACB League Finals MVP Facu Campazzo is attracting some serious attention from NBA teams.
According to Spanish outlet AS, two unnamed NBA teams are interested in potentially signing Campazzo. One of them is willing to extend “an interesting offer” to the Argentinian guard.
Campazzo, 28, has established himself as the starting point guard of Real Madrid in the last two years, following his return from a loan to UCAM Murcia. In an interview with Eurohoops prior to the 2019 EuroLeague Final Four, he said that he used to be “obsessed” with making an NBA team but he feels more relaxed about making it to the league now.
In 2018, Real signed Campazzo to a contract until 2021 that includes an NBA exit clause.
Campazzo averaged 8.7 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in the 2018-2019 EuroLeague. He was the top contributor in the playoff series vs. Panathinaikos, by posting 12.3 points, 8.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 steals to lead the “Blancos” to a 3-0 sweep and the qualification to the Final Four.
