DeAndre Kane expressed his disappointment with the fact that Maccabi Tel Aviv hasn’t made him an offer to stay with the team next season.
“If the club doesn’t want me after two years of hard work and after everything I’ve done for them, I’ll go somewhere else,” Kane said to Israeli website Sport 5. Maccabi had signed Kane to a one-year extension in the 2018 offseason.
Kane finished 2018-2019 averaging 8.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 25:45 minutes, plus 7.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23 minutes in the Israeli League. Maccabi didn’t make the EuroLeague playoffs but managed to win the back-to-back Israeli League title.
“I’ll find another place that appreciates me and what I bring to the team,” Kane said. “I don’t have any suggestions from EuroLeague teams and maybe I’m not good enough for the EuroLeague.”
