Crvena Zvezda mts announced on Tuesday that Filip Covic signed a new two-year contract. Under the new deal, the 30-year-old Serbian point guard will follow his team to the EuroLeague and debut in Europe’s premier competition.
Covic is coming off thirteen 7DAYS EuroCup appearances during the 2018-19 season. He averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 assists per contest.
In ABA League action, the experienced floor general had 4.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per Regular Season match. He upped his game in the Playoffs with 8.8 points and 6.3 assists per game.
