Olympiacos Piraeus officially announced the signing of reigning Basketball Champions League Final Four MVP Kevin Punter. The American guard signed a two-year deal with the Reds to become the first offseason acquisition of the Greek club.
Punter, 26, spent the 2018-2019 season with Virtus Bologna. He led the team to winning the Basketball Champions League crown by posting 21 points and eight rebounds in the semifinal over Brose Bamberg, plus 27 points and seven rebounds in the Final against Iberostar Tenerife. He claimed MVP of the Final Four, after also being named to the competition’s Star Lineup.
It was Punter’s second consecutive BCL title since he also won the 2018 championship with AEK Athens.
With Olympiacos, Punter will compete in EuroLeague for the first time in his career.
