LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne secured David Lighty’s services for three more seasons. The French club announced on Saturday that the 31-year-old American guard signed his contract extension.
Lighty returned to ASVEL a couple of summers ago by signing a two-year contract. He since aided his side in the 7DAYS EuroCup, but next season will find him in the EuroLeague.
He made his first stint with the French team between 2014 and 2016. He also played for Nanterre 92 in France and various Italian sides during since 2011.
Last year, the Ohio State alumni averaged 8.8 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds per EuroCup affair. He also had 10.2 points per contest in the Jeep Elite Pro A Regular Season and added 6.9 points per Playoffs game.
ASVEL’s president Tony Parker noted: “I could not imagine the future without David and I am very happy we managed to reach an agreement.”
