Following the interest of Barcelona in Nikola Mirotic, who becomes a free agent on Monday, new reports from AS.com emerge about the details of the offer. Per the Spanish website, Barcelona initially offered Mirotic a six-year, 70M euros gross income deal.
The player rejected the offer at first, looking for another deal from the NBA, though he is really close to taking the leap and return to Spain. It is known that the Utah Jazz were ready to pen a three-year, 45 million deal with Mirotic, while the Dallas Mavericks have also been considering him ahead of the free agency.
Still, the Spanish club seems to ready to seriously invest in bringing Mirotic back to Europe ahead of the new Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season and the player himself wants to make a change and leave the NBA.
It has to be noted, that if the number is correct, then Mirotic’s deal is way above any other current salary in Europe.
