Sergey Karasev is near a deal with Κhimki Moscow Region. According to Eurohoops sources, Karasev and Khimki are near an agreement for a three-year deal. The 25 years old sharp-shooter, together with current Khimki Moscow star Alexey Shved, are the two best Russian scorers in recent years.
Despite his age, Karasev played in the NBA between 2013 and 2016 as a member of the Cavs and the Nets and he was the 19th pick of 2013 NBA draft. Since his return to Russia, he signed with Zenit St. Petersburg and he was coached by his father, until Vasily Karasev’s recent mid-season firing.
Karasev and Shved are also teammates in the Russian national team.
