Bayern Munich General Manager Marko Pesic extended his contract with the organization until 2022, the club announced.
Pesic’s contract extension arrives a few weeks after Bayern claimed the back-to-back German League title and five in the history of the club overall. Bayern also returned to EuroLeague this season and fell one win short of the playoffs zone.
“Bayern has an exciting ahead for me and I’m highly motivated to tackle the next challenges together with our dedicated office staff. When I joined the club, I said that I consider this project to be the most exciting in European basketball. Nothing at all has changed my view,” Pesic said per Bayern’s website. Pesic has been the club’s General Manager since 2013, after being promoted from Sports Director.
“The presidency of Bayern is very happy to be able to continue the cooperation with Marko Pesic long term and thus have continuity in this important position of the Managing Director,” Bayern president Uli Hoeness said.
Under Pesic, Bayern has also won the 2014 German League plus the 2018 German Cup.
