Panathinaikos has improved its offer to Latvian guard Janis Strelnieks according to Eurohoops sources. The “Greens” have strong possibilities to sign the player.
Khimki Moscow is competing with Panathinaikos in the race to acquire Strelnieks. Valencia has also extended an offer to the 29-year-old guard.
Strelnieks parted ways with Olympiacos after the completion of his contract with the “Reds”. The two sides mutually agreed to not continue their partnership.
In 2018-2019, Strelnieks averaged 8.8 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 20:46 over 20 EuroLeague games with Olympiacos. He got sidelined in February until the end of the season following an injury he sustained in a World Cup Qualifiers game of Latvia against Montenegro.
