Crvena Zvezda announced that Serbian center Ognjen Kuzmic is back with the team. Kuzmic signed a two-year deal to return for his second stint with Red Star after the one in 2016-2017.
Kuzmic, a former NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, spent the two previous seasons with Real Madrid. He got sidelined for most of 2017-2018, following an ACL tear he suffered early in the season. The “Blancos” claimed the EuroLeague title and Kuzmic won the competition for the first time in his career.
Before heading to Real, Kuzmic was one of the top contributors of Red Star in EuroLeague. He had 9.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 assists for a team-high 13.7 in EuroLeague, plus 9.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 13.8 PIR in ABA League to help Zvezda win the championship.
