Zenit St. Petersburg announced that they have added Mateusz Pontika to the roster with a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old Polish guard played with Lokomotiv Kuban last season averaging 9.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and a steal over 47 games split between VTB League and 7DAYS EuroCup.
Pontika spent the first seven years of his career in Poland with various teams after which he played with Pinar Karsiyaka and Iberostar Tenerife.
He was named the 2016 EuroCup Rising Star and made it to the All-EuroCup Second Team. In 2018, he was also a part of the All-Liga ACB Second Team.
