Zalgiris Kaunas announced the addition of Mexican/American point guard Alex Perez. The player signed a three-year (1+1+1) deal with the Lithuanian powerhouse.
“I’m really excited to be in the city and get to know my new teammates. I heard nothing but great things about the city and the organization. And the fans. For sure the best in EuroLeague,” Perez said to Zalgiris TV.
“I’m excited to play for a legendary coach. Really excited to learn from him,” Perez mentioned on Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Perez, 26, averaged 12.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists in the 2018-2019 Basketball Champions League with Turkish side Banvit. With Zalgiris, he will make his EuroLeague debut.
