Fenerbahce Beko will be signing French point guard Leo Westermann to a multiyear deal according to Eurohoops sources. The Turkish side is finalizing a buyout deal with Zalgiris Kaunas in order to add the player.
Earlier on Tuesday (9/7), Zalgiris confirmed the interest of Fenerbahce in acquiring Westermann. The Lithuanian club mentioned the talks in the announcement of the signing of Alex Perez. The latter was added to replace Westermann on the roster of the LKL champions.
Westermann, 26, averaged 6.8 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 rebounds in 17 minutes over 27 games during the 2018-2019 EuroLeague season.
