Ognjen Kuzmic was involved in a serious car accident early in the morning (14/7) and was admitted to the hospital in Serbia.
The clinical center director Vlado Djajic told N1 that Kuzmic was “admitted with head injuries, followed by fractures of facial bones and both jaws”. He also suffered a chest as well as lung injuries but didn’t have any bleeding in the brain nor fractures of the skull around the brain.
Kuzmic was given the necessary emergency aid and diagnosis after which he was transported to Belgrade, Serbia by a helicopter for further treatment.
Crvena Zvezda made a follow-up announcement confirming Kuzmic’s transport to Belgrade where he was admitted to the Emergency Center at 13:00 CET.
The announcement also says: “The condition of our player is serious and the club will not reveal the details about his health, in accordance with the recommendations of the doctors who take care of Ognjen Kuzmic whose situation is encouraging, but still very serious.”
The club thanked all the professional helping Kuzmic recover as well as everyone who sent their support. They also noted that the public will be informed about the player’s state after the 24 hours which are critical for Kuzmic recuperation.
