Barcelona Lassa has had one of the best summers ever as they among other signings also managed to bring two NBA players back to Europe in Nikola Mirotic and Alex Abrines.
Abrines has had a rough patch with the Oklahoma City Thunder (2016-19) and was very discontent with his role on the team. He has been looking forward to his return to Europe and has more desire than ever during his nine years long career:
“I’m really looking forward to returning to Palau. I haven’t been there for three years and I’m very excited to come back. Physically, I’m getting better, there’s still a month left to go back to work. Psychologically, I am looking forward to it with strength and much more desire than I have had in the last nine years. I want to enjoy basketball again, win games, titles, but the most important thing to do is to enjoy and give the best”, he told Barca TV.
He is also very happy with the squad, especially Mirotic: “Higgins also on ‘2’, Davies, Mirotic… Niko is a very good person and as a player is one of the benchmarks in Spain, he has played a lot in the NBA and will be a key player in Barça.”
