Maccabi Tel Aviv won’t make a move to sign free-agent guard Tyler Ennis due to the player needing 6-8 weeks to fully recover from his ankle injury, according to Roi Cohen of Sport 5.
Ennis, 24, was brought to Tel Aviv to undergo medical tests that would determine whether he’s considered fit enough by Maccabi to sign him. The Israeli powerhouse will seek other options for the guard position.
In October 2018, Ennis suffered a season-ending ankle injury. He had begun his debut campaign in EuroLeague as a player of Fenerbahce Beko.
Before signing with Fenerbahce, Ennis played three seasons in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets and the L.A. Lakers.
