Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv inked Sandy Cohen III to a four-year contract, the Israeli club announced on Monday. The EuroLeague participant will be his first professional side.
The American guard played for Marquette for three NCAA seasons from 2014 to 2017, went on with Green Bay for the 2017-18 and the 2018-19 campaigns. He marked his final season with 17.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.1 block per game over 38 appearances.
“Sandy Cohen is a very talented player whose potential can fit into a high-level team like Maccabi” Giannis Sfairopoulos said and added: “Maccabi has already shown that it wants to work with prospects and give them a chance, so we are very happy that Sandy is joining the club’s program”.
The undrafted rookie competed in the 2019 NBA Summer League with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In five matches he posted 0.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.8 steals in 11.5 minutes per game.
