It was certainly tough on Thomas Heurtel. He will miss the 2019 FIBA World Cup and sit out for five months due to his recent knee injury and surgery. Aside from the player himself, the French national team and FC Barcelona suffered a blow as well.
The 30-year-old point guard reacted to his surgery via Twitter noting: “This will only be a small obstacle in my way,” before pointing out:“My haters should not be so happy.”
“I will be back soon stronger then ever to help this team win titles” he promised and added: “Thank God the operation was successful. I appreciate all the support I received.”
