Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness would be open to the club hiring German legend Dirk Nowitzki for a position with the team, given that the former Maverick will want to work in his native country.
“If he feels like working in Germany, then you have to make a deal,” Hoeness said on Nowitzki to Magenta Sport, per Sport1. Hoeness himself has announced that he will be stepping down from Bayern Munich presidency when the elections take place on November.
Following his retirement, Nowitzki mentioned that he envisions a career where he becomes a coach or a manager of a club. However, this won’t take place in the near future but in a couple of years.
I think it’s good that he takes a break first,” Hoeness said.
