Per EuroLeague:
FC Bayern Munich added a proven veteran into its backcourt by signing a one-year deal with guard DeMarcus Nelson, the club announced on Friday. Nelson (1.93 meters, 33 years old) arrives from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne where he spent the last three years. Last season, Nelson helped ASVEL win French double – League and Cup titles – and also reach the 7DAYS EuroCup quarterfinals. Nelson averaged 7.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 16 EuroCup appearances, and posted 6.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds in the French League. At Bayern, Nelson reunites with head coach Dejan Radonjic as the two were together for two seasons with Crvena Zvezda Belgrade from 2012 to 2014. Nelson is a veteran of 52 games through four EuroLeague seasons, one apiece with Cholet Basket, Zvezda, Panathinaikos Athens and Unicaja Malaga, where he played in the 2015-16 campaign, his last in the competition. He started his career with Golden State in the NBA, and Bakersfield and Austin in D-League before coming to Europe. After a brief stint with KK Zagreb in Croatia, he also played with Avellino in Italy, Donetsk in Ukraine and AS Monaco in France.
