Despite a slow start, Kirolbet Baskonia bounced back and grabbed a narrow 78-75 win over Iberostar Tenerife in their last preseason game.
Youssoupha Fall led the winning side with 17 points while Shavon Shields added 15 and Tornike Shengelia 12 points.
For Tenerife, Sasu Salin nailed 21 points followed by Kyle Singler with 12 and Giorgi Shermadini with 11 points.
Tenerife started the game better and was ahead 27-16 after ten minutes but Baskonia cut the gap to 44-37 at halftime. They continued turning the game around with a strong third quarter after which they took a 57-54 lead and held on until the end, winning the ‘Trofeo Alava-Araba Saria’.
