Co-owners of Olympiacos, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos agree that the 2019-20 season might change the course of European basketball. The Reds held a press conference and the Angelopoulos brothers shared their take on the importance of succeeding with the men’s squad solely focusing the upcoming edition of EuroLeague.
“We hope for a successful EuroLeague campaign. The players are working very hard, the whole roster is now together following the World Cup” opened Panagiotis Angelopoulos and furthered on the first team only competing in Europe’s premier competition, “It will be season of historical significance, the first time we will only compete in EuroLeague.”
“Expanding the field is good, the same goes for expanding the schedule and the two-game weeks. We hope for a successful run. We want the support of the fans” he added on the 2019-20 edition of EuroLeague and the 18 participating clubs.
“My brother covered me. This season will be special and of historical significance for Olympiacos” mentioned Giorgos Angelopoulos, “The fate of European basketball might change this year, Greece’s for sure. We said we will go all the way and we did.”
