The 2nd Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament kicked off today as AX Armani Exchange Milan and Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv got wins against Fenerbahce BEKO and Panathinaikos OPAP respectively.
Maccabi had everything under control from start to finish as they won 82-71 against Panathinaikos.
Tyler Dorsey led the winning side with 18 points (14 in the first half) followed by Tarik Black with 14 and Scottie Wilbekin with 11 points.
For Panathinaikos, Tyrese Rice scored 17 in addition to Jimmer Fredette’ 15 and Deshaun Thomas’ 11 points.
Sergio Rodriguez put on a strong performance and led Milan to a narrow 79-75 over Fenerbahce.
Rodriguez banked game-high 26 points while also dishing five assists. Shelvin mack added 15 and Amedeo Della Valle nine points.
For Fenerbahce, Kostas Sloukas logged 13 points and eight assists while Derrick Williams and Boby Dixon scored 12 points each.
