Olimpia Milano won the second edition of the annual “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament by defeating fellow EuroLeague club Maccabi Tel Aviv 78 – 69.
Vladimir Micov scored 18 points, Sergio Rodriguez 15, Jeff Brooks 11 and Amedeo Della Valle 10 points for Milano that prevailed 21 – 10 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
For Maccabi, Scottie Wilbekin dropped 17 points and Nate Wolters 11. The “Yellows” went up 51 – 42 in the mid of the third period after recovering turning the game. They were behind by seven, 22 – 15, at the end of the first quarter.
In the game for the third place, tournament host Panathinaikos beat Fenerbahce Beko.
