The worst-case scenario was confirmed for Jayson Granger and Baskonia, after his last night injury in the Liga Endesa season opener.
According to the club press release: “The player suffers a complete rupture of the left Achilles tendon that will force him to go through the operating room.
Jayson Granger must go through the operating room due to a complete rupture in the Achilles tendon of his left foot. The player was injured as soon as he started the first Endesa League match at Buesa Arena against Movistar Estudiantes and the medical tests he has undergone in the last hours have confirmed the worst of the forecasts.

Granger informed with a post on his social media that he will return to action once he recovers from this injury.
“I’m sure I will come out of this stronger than ever. And if before I wanted to start the season now, my desire is bigger than ever to recover as soon as possible and enjoy playing again. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” he writes in his message.
