Shane Larkin has returned from his injury and he did in with a furious performance. He spent 30 minutes on the floor and logged 26 points, five assists, five rebounds and drew seven fouls for a total of 31 PIR in Anadolu Efes’ overtime win vs Alba Berlin.
“It was a long time coming. It’s been months since I was able to compete in the EuroLeague. It felt good to be out there, felt good to get a win in front of our fans, and happy to be back”, Larkin said after the game.
The 27-year-old guard couldn’t wait to step on the floor and was happy with his teammates as well, although he noted the squad will have to improve defense:
“Offensively, we are going to be one of the best teams. We have a lot of great players, a lot of shooters, a lot of guys who can drive, finish around the rim. So, if we want to get back where we got last year, we have to lock in on the defensive end, and today we did not do that great of a job. ALBA has a lot of guys who can shoot; everybody on the court can shoot a three. They spaced us out and made us work. But it was a good learning experience and the next time we are going to play a team like that, I am sure we are going to be more prepared.”
