Olympiacos interim head coach Kestutis Kemzura had said that he’ll be at the helm of the team for two games, following the departure of David Blatt. However, there’s a good chance that he will stay as the Reds’ head coach until the end of the season.
If that’s the case, then Kemzura will want to make some modifications on the roster, as he mentioned following the defeat to Zenit St.Petersburg. “Yes, I would like to make some additions and changes, we have to discuss this with the owners, and I believe that we will do what we must,” Kemzura said, who is not sure yet not even for his future: “I don’t have any information yet. The game is just over, so we will have to talk”.
Wade Baldwin, Will Cherry, Augustine Rubit and Ethan Happ can be affected by those changes, but nothing is set in stone. As Kemzura said: “I feel ready to do the best possible, but it’s not easy to make the changes that you want at this point of the season. Time and the rights moves are needed, so we have to think everything twice”.
While Olympiacos contacted Scott Skiles recently, the scenario of Kemzura ultimately staying on the bench until the end of the season is also likely.
