Othello Hunter and Olympiacos came close to winning the Euroleague, but in the end the team just couldn’t finish the game the right way. That’s why on one hand the Reds are dissapointed, but on the other hand had a remarkable season.
As he said: “It’s bitter sweet. Right now, it’s still on my mind the way we lost. We started the game playing well, we moved the ball well, we stopped their key players, we got defensive stops and in the second half they kind of took over. Jaycee Carroll is a shooter, he scored 10 straight points, he caught fire and that really helped him in the right moment. But… you know, they won…”
So what’s the bottom line after the final four: “Somedays you play good, some others they play better. You might have a good game in offence but you also have to be able to be good on defense. You just have to find a way to win it. My feeling is that we lost the championship title in Euroleague, but now we have the Greek league. I have to go and play as hard as I can. However right now I am thinking about walking out of this gym. It’s all done. I can’t take it back, I can’t rewind it. We lost it in the last quarter”.
