Olympiacos Piraeus is in negotiations with American center Willie Reed. The Greek club has been working towards closing a deal with the former NBA big man and the talks have reached an advanced status.
If Reed signs with Olympiacos he will play in Europe for the first time in his career after spending three seasons and playing 152 games in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat and the L.A. Clippers. He had his most productive season in 2016-2017, when he averaged 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 14.5 minutes over 71 games as a Clipper.
Apart from Reed, Olympiacos is also in talks with American guard and former EuroLeague Top Scorer Taylor Rochestie.
Gazzetta.gr first reported the news about Olympiacos’ interest in acquiring Reed.
