CSKA Moscow confirmed on Saturday that Will Clyburn will be out definitely via announcement. The 2019 EuroLeague Final Four MVP went through medical tests in Moscow that revealed a torn ACL, which will require surgery.
Per CSKA: “Our team’s forward Will Clyburn injured his knee during the game against ALBA. The tests in GMS Clinic in Moscow revealed torn anterior cruciate ligament of right knee. Clyburn will have a surgery and go through long rehabilitation. The terms will be specified by intermediate tests.”
The Russian team is set to move forward in its EuroLeague and VTB United League campaigns without its star forward. Clyburn picked up the right knee injury in EuroLeague Regular Season Round 4 action. He was averaging 16 points and 6 rebounds per appearance in Europe’s premier competition up to Friday.
