Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that forward and team captain Omri Casspi will be out for the upcoming EuroLeague games against Olimpia Milano (19/11) and Barcelona (22/11) on the road due to knee pains. He was also out in Thursday’s away win over Baskonia.
Casspi will remain in Israel to go through conditioning. The Israeli player is averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and a team-high 18.3 PIR in 21:14 minutes over six EuroLeague games this season so far. Maccabi is one of the five standings leaders, together with CSKA Moscow, Barcelona, Khimki Moscow, and Milano.
