ASVEL Villeurbanne may add a player on its roster due to center Adreian Payne not recovering from a foot inflammation as scheduled, the French club announced.
Payne was planned to return to action on December 13 but his rehabilitation hasn’t gone as planned. According to the club, it will take a few more weeks before the American big man resumes his playing activities.
The club “won’t refrain from recruiting a player at least for EuroLeague” given that they find a “suitable candidate” in the market.
ASVEL is currently 5-5 in EuroLeague in the club’s first appearance in the competition since 2010. The team is undefeated in France and leading the standings at a 10-0 record.
