Zalgiris Kaunas guard Marius Grigonis will undergo surgery on his foot and will stay out of action for three months according to Donatas Urbonas.
Grigonis last played in the Zalgiris’ home loss to Crvena Zvezda on November 21. The 24-year-old Lithuanian guard has averaged 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 25:45 minutes over 10 games in EuroLeague.
Grigonis’ injury adds another issue to Zalgiris’ struggles this season in EuroLeague. The Lithuanian side is currently 3-8 in after getting beaten in its last five games. In the Lithuanian League, Zalgiris is the only undefeated team with 12 wins in an equal number of games.
